Match to Live-Action Lighting
This is a 3-D model of a bowl I had to re-create from a photograph. Using Maya; we learned how to use depth-map shadows, imitate light from a reference, and render in layers.

Home Fresco Kit

This image is from my Italian Renaissance Art History class. I was asked to create a set of "Home Fresco Tools" for a Renaissance Infomercial.
Time from creation to render: 4 hours.  I used Houdini to model the tools and Photoshop for the text.
6.5 hour Digital Matte Painting

I created a day-for-night shot because I really liked the original picture, and happened to have some free times during renders.  The first picture is © Richard Seaman, used with permission.  The second image is my day-for-night creation, created with layers and layers of photoshop.  Total time= 6.5 Hours.  Click either picture to see both. After Clicking, look below those images to see the "Making Of" Video (video has sound).
